His achievements include contributing to victories at 3 European Championships, 2 National Championships of Great Britain, The British Open, Brass in Concert and 3 English Masters titles, together with extensive international touring with bands across Europe and Japan.
His playing has also encompassed television appearances, BBC Radio broadcasts, West End production, performances at many prestigious venues including the Royal Albert Hall, London's Festival Hall, The Bridgewater Hall in Manchester and Birmingham's Symphony Hall, and commercial recordings and collaborations with many of the brass world's most respected performers. He travelled to Germany, by invitation, with Sandy Smith to perform the tenor horn parts in Villa-Lobos's orchestral works with the Stuttgart Radio Symphony Orchestra.
His passion for music extends far beyond the brass band stage. Over the years, he has worked extensively with school choirs and led numerous whole-school productions, helping hundreds of young people develop confidence, creativity and a love of performance.
We're delighted to welcome him to the band and we are excited about what lies ahead. Together, we'll continue to strive to make music that we're all very proud of whilst enjoying new adventures, plenty of fun, and the strong sense of community that makes our band so special.
